Episode- Donnie Fatso
This episode takes place after a New Years celebration. Homer is outside taking out the trash when he gets confronted by the police. He is given several citations for things that are couldn't truly be against the law. One of them I found interesting was a 950 dollar ticket for something regarding his freedom of speech. While trying to get out of the tickets he bribes one of the men at the payment window. Of course, he gets caught doing so and therefore gets sentenced to jail time. During court he gets angry with Bart and starts chasing him around screaming which gave flashbacks to last weeks episode "Angry Dad"...I can see a commonality starting to arise. Once in jail Homer gets offered a special job with the FBI to get him out sooner. He has to go undercover as a spy for a man named Fat Tony.During his first encounter with Tony he is told he is now part of the family. He is extremely welcoming and kind. He feels a conflict when he sees how nice Tony is to him and knows that he is turning him it. This seems to be an ethical conflict because what Tony is doing is thought to be illegal however Homer doesn't want to turn him in because hes seems like such a nice man. Tony ends up having a heart attack shortly after police arrive on the scene. Homer appears to be heartbroken at the loss of his new "friend". He meets Fit Tony, the cousin of Fat Tony who claims he will kill him. He spares him because "Homer holds memories of Fat Tony so to estinguish Homer would extinguish Fat Tony"....Homer becomes confused as to why the people that are supposed to be bad are the ones that are nicer and the people that are supposed to protect you treat you poorly. The end consensus is "the world is messed up".
