Episode- Donnie Fatso

This episode takes place after a New Years celebration. Homer is outside taking out the trash when he gets confronted by the police. He is given several citations for things that are couldn't truly be against the law. One of them I found interesting was a 950 dollar ticket for something regarding his freedom of speech. While trying to get out of the tickets he bribes one of the men at the payment window. Of course, he gets caught doing so and therefore gets sentenced to jail time. During court he gets angry with Bart and starts chasing him around screaming which gave flashbacks to last weeks episode "Angry Dad"...I can see a commonality starting to arise. Once in jail Homer gets offered a special job with the FBI to get him out sooner. He has to go undercover as a spy for a man named Fat Tony.During his first encounter with Tony he is told he is now part of the family. He is extremely welcoming and kind. He feels a conflict when he sees how nice Tony is to him and knows that he is turning him it. This seems to be an ethical conflict because what Tony is doing is thought to be illegal however Homer doesn't want to turn him in because hes seems like such a nice man. Tony ends up having a heart attack shortly after police arrive on the scene. Homer appears to be heartbroken at the loss of his new "friend". He meets Fit Tony, the cousin of Fat Tony who claims he will kill him. He spares him because "Homer holds memories of Fat Tony so to estinguish Homer would extinguish Fat Tony"....Homer becomes confused as to why the people that are supposed to be bad are the ones that are nicer and the people that are supposed to protect you treat you poorly. The end consensus is "the world is messed up".

Episode 20-Angry Dad The Movie

In episode 20-Angry Dad The Movie, it begins with Bart being home alone and wreaking havoc on the house. Home returns from a trip to the frozen yogurt restaurant and sees that Bart has created quite a mess. I find it so clever how many parodies there are in the Simposons, for instance the frozen yogurt place was called "Pinkbeardy" which is similar to the popular frozen yogurt chain Pinkberry. Just when Homer is getting angry about what Bart has done the wealthy owner of the "Aerochair" company comes knocking at the door. Evidentally Bart had created a cartoon called "Angry Dad" based on his own father (ironic, because at the moment the man arrived, Homer had been going off on an angry rampage). They wanted to make Angry Dad into a movie. Bart goes to the studio to begin making the film. Again with the parodies, there were many pictures on the wall of the studio portraying movies that had been created by that film company. There was "The Not-So-Incredibles," a play on the movie "The Incredibles" as well as "Monsters Ltd" instead of Monsters Inc. and "The Lyin King" instead of "The Lion King".  Throughout the rest of the episode  Bart gets invited to many awards shows such as the Golden Globes. His new movie wins awards at all of the shows but as he goes up to accept them, Homer steps in and takes all the credit, making the accepting speech and stealing the spot light. This angers Bart because he was the one that created the film. Bart wants recognition for his film so he sends his dad elsewhere when he finds out he was nominated for an Oscar. He wins but as he goes to make his speech he realizes that to make his film, it required help from a lot of people. The moral of the story was that in order to get things done, like making a movie, it starts with one persons idea, however the final product would be nothing if there was nobody to help create it.
