The opening scene is mr burns on a hot air balloon sailing over springfield. Homer takes out a gun and begins shooting at the hot air balloon but shoots all other things. He ends up hitting a gargoyle which weighs the balloon down and “saves Mr. Burns life”. He says he can have whatever he wants but then keeps saying it must be something realistic. Homer chooses to attend nothing-head day when Mr. Burns turns down all his other suggestions. The football arena has a variety of different stores and things surround it which reminds me of Patriot Place. I went there with my parents over the summer and it was really cool. The fan cam says “make an ass of yourself” and shows people dancing. I feel as though this is a great portrayl of sporting event s in America. They are such a huge part of society. Athletes get paid so much to play their sports and entertain people. Americans find such great enjoyment at such events. Bart ends up peeing his pants in front of everyone while Homer is tickling him. There is an elaborate story about how they retracted the roof to help dry Barts pants and how a Russian satellite saw it as a sign of weakness and were planning an attack. Marge is angry because she told Homer to stop tickling and she thinks that Homer needs a parenting class. She signs him up for a fathering class. Homer is forced to role play and has to pretend to be Homer while a Lakers player pretends to be Bart and beats up Homer. It’s a way to teach him what its like to be Bart. Their roles are reversed and Homer becomes afraid of Bart. The counseling center gets closed down. Ive taken many psych classes and find it interesting how psychiatrists work. People spend so much money to sit and talk about their problems with someone else.

Blue and Gray
I watched Blue and Gray this week because I couldn't find the most recent episode online.
The first few minutes of this episode there's a song playing "You're nobody til somebody loves you" and a man and a woman are mumbling sweet nothings to one another. I recognize this woman as the cat woman from the episode I watched last week. She is on the street with all her cats and the man she is kissing has a lot of dogs. When they zoom out you see that all the cats and dogs are fighting. The episode is about Valentines day. It talks about being alone on valentines day. I once saw a YOUTUBE clip about how to survive alone on Valentines day and it reminds me of the infomercial that Moe is watching alone at his bar. Valentines day is a day that nobody wishes to spend alone mostly because its revolved around love. When Marge wakes up in the morning she sees her first gray hair. Moe attends a seminar on how to pick up girls. The Dr. says that a woman decides whether or not shes going to sleep with you in 6.5 seconds. I learned in psych class this semester that its only actually 3 seconds before a woman will make a judgement of the person shes meeting. Marge ends up dying her hair completely gray and Homer freaks out. He leaves to go be Moe's wingman. One rule is to "jump on the grenade" which is so funny because that is such a Jersey Shore word. When marge meets up with her sisters she sees woman talking about Homer being at the club and Marge freaks out. She goes to "win" homer back because she doenst know what he was really up to. When she arrives at the club she sees homer with a bunch of woman and gets angry. He then explains that he is only a wingman and he can be because he loves his wife. At the end of the episode she dyes her hair back to blue and everything is normal again.

A Midsummers nice dream
I was out of the country last week hence the lateness of this blog-
This was the episode from Sunday March 13th. It begins with a newscast announcing how Cheech and Chong will be returning to springfield. It shows them as newscasters in the past and they are absurd. They'll be preforming at the clamphoitheter. Bart asks who they are and Homer is in shock, wondering how he could possibly not know who they are. Is a strange coincidence because just this morning my roommate and I were talking to her younger sisters about how there are so many shows from our childhood that she never got to see and how much ebtter they were than the programs that are on now. It's crazy how as time passes by things come and go. Another thing that I think of when it comes to stuff like that is something like September 11th. My age group was pretty much one of the last to be able to actually remember the day it happened and how we felt. The younger kids just remember it happened but didn't really know the severity of it at the time and kids now weren't evn alive for it but just simply learn about it in school. That is so bizarre to me but it's just how the world works. At thje Cheech and Chong sshow, Homer steps in to do comedy and the whole crowd is laughing. He exclaims "my time being wasted is not being wasted" which is a line from a new generation song. Homer gets offered a position as the new Chong! He goes on tour with Cheech, as "Cheech and Chunk". All he is talking about is getting high but Cheech says no. Chong then holds auditions for a new Cheech. He finds it difficult to find a replacement. He finds a man that he says is the least funny man there is which he feels will be "pushing the envelope" so he offers him the job. Marge is taking a walk and looses the dog to a womans house. They go inside to find the dog and see that she has a hording problem. It reminded me of the show Hoarders and sure enough they begin discussing the show. In order to clean her house they needs to keep her busy so they send her to the play CATS which i find very funny since shes a "cat lady". After looking through her stuff she sees that she loves all the things in the trunk. She begins hoarding all the things out of the dumpster for herself. In order to solve the problem she brings the crazy woman to her house and lets her have all the stuff back because it was making her into a crazy woman. In the end Homer reunites Cheech and Chong. In the end they realize that you must forgive people you care about which is something i fully agree with

In this episode Barts class went to a desert state park. Lisa comes in contact with scorpions but learns that they calm down when around a certain flower. She takes these home for her science project. Grandfather is kicked out of the retirement home and moves in them. While Lisa spends time trying to figure out what causes the scorpions to calm down when around the flower, she extracts a liquid from the flower. When it is sprayed on the scorpions they calm down. This brings Homer an idea. He decides to use the flower liquid on Grandpa so that he will stop being so mean. It works! He realizes that when he's unhappy, nobody likes him. Lisa things that its wrong of her to do that to Grandpa because its changing the natural flow of things. When Homer is at the bar a man offers to help to figure out what it is that makes grandpa happy. After making several different concoctions they find the right now. They make it into a pill and Grandpa gets a full bottle. He is instructed to not allow anyone else to take his medicine because it hasn't been tested yet. Bart goes into the retirement home to pitch the pill even though he is not supposed to and outside there are two people doing a drug deal. It is exceptionally important to understand when and how to use drugs even if it is your own prescription. I recently lost a friend due to a bad combination of his own prescriptions. Of course nobody should be taking anyone elses prescriptions but it is also important to make sure you are taking the right dose of your own on top of making sure you have a good understanding of how one medication might react with another.
